Who: everyone ever \o/
What: Christmas all over the world
Where: everywhere \o/
When: Christmas

It was perfect. It was Christmas morning and for one day there was peace throughout the universe.
There were presents to be open, feasts to be had and company to enjoy.

Merry Christmas!

[mod note: so to keep this at least a little neat for viewing pleasure, there'll be separate threads for each world and if you want; location. And all comments would go under each of that. . A sample with Radiant Garden will be posted before you guys even start tagging Also~ we're gonna try something new! Action tags will be allowed for those who want to use 'em. He waved a finger at her and shook his head. "You're still going to have to wait. I think I'll give it to you sometime later tonight."

There was a beat or two before he actually realized what he just said. He blinked and then groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Tell me I did not just say that."

She snorted in amusement and actually blushed, just a bit.

"Can we use the sex demon influence as an excuse again, or not? You are technically half, aren't you?" There was that sly twinkle in her eye again.

He almost rolled his eyes. "Technically. And by technically, I mean we're not going to think about how that applies to me." He paused thoughtfully, a similar spark appearing in his eyes as he looked down at Song. "Although..."

From: [identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com
She raised her eyebrows at him, fighting down a smirk.

"'Although...?' You really shouldn't leave me wondering, you know. When it comes to curiosity, I'm more cat than bird."

From: [identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com
"Maybe in this case, it's best to leave you wondering," he laughed. "It'll do your imagination some good."

From: [identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com
"Heh. I have no problem with my imagination, believe me."

But instead of pursuing the topic, she nibbled on another chocolate and idly carried the rest back into the kitchen.

"Where is Lilith, anyway?" she asked as she returned. "I'd almost say she's being more elusive than usual, but I know from experience that's not true."
Lilith hunting... it had been like a sport. A very difficult one...

Now he looked a bit troubled, and rubbed the back of his neck wearily. "She comes and goes. I think she just has a lot on her mind. She tries not to show it, tries to act like nothing can bother her." He shook his head. "But I think the thing with Calum probably upset her more than she's willing to admit."

Date: 2009-12-27 03:54 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com
She bit her lip and nodded. "That's what I've been worrying about. If it were me..." and it almost had been, in the case of Xemnas. Song would have sympathized with Lilith no matter what, but the unavoidable similarity in their stories sent that feeling quite a ways past common sympathy.

And now Lilith's soul-bonded was experiencing the memories of her lost love. That couldn't be helping at all...

But she was trying not to burden Josiah with such dark subjects today, and it was really something that she'd rather speak to Lilith about.

"I'm sure I'll get at least one chance to have a talk with her before you leave. I'll see if I can help at all... as long as she's not avoiding me in fear of those infamous talks."

From: [identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com
Josiah nodded. "Yeah. It's a bad situation." He looked away, the troubled look still on his face. "I wish I could do more to help, but I have a feeling I'd do more harm than good."

He sighed, trying to keep the small grin from his face. "You're good for her, whether she'll admit that or not. Those talks are like... chicken noodle soup for the demon's soul. You should probably market that and see what you can get out of it."

From: [identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com
She couldn't help it. She snickered, bringing a hand up to her mouth.
"Chicken soup for the demon... I'll have to keep that in mind, then. Though I'm not sure about the market value. Most of the demonic entities I try to help are very resistant to the idea."

"Most are - but when you get through to them, you can work a miracle," he said, kissing her on top of the head. "I'll see if I can send her your way."

From: [identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com
She smiled, dipping her head forward slightly to receive the kiss. This was still new to her, and the little flutters of her heart still caught her off guard...

"That would be helpful. As for miracles, well, we are living in a universe that's half Disney. Maybe there are happy endings, on rare occasions."

She paused, blinked, and frowned. Then her eyes widened in a look of horror. "Oh, gods! I know why the Heartless are back... We're stuck in a Disney sequel!"

From: [identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com
"A direct-to-DVD Disney sequel? Oh god, we're doomed," Josiah groaned melodramatically before chuckling. "Well, maybe if sales aren't all that hot, they'll back off, hmm? Just as long we don't get a random Hannah Montana song in the middle of yet another epic battle for existence."

Grinning and shaking her head in amusement, she sagged against him, turning so that her back rested against his chest. She slipped a hand back, feeling for one of his, and drew it up in front of her, holding it loosely so that he was not trapped.

Despite her insistence that 'hugs heal everything', she was not this cuddly with most people. But she'd been starved for the touch of someone she loved, and the soothing sensations that every little touch invoked were incredible to her.

For all of her mind games, dreams, and high ideals, she was just as enthralled by the solid world around her and the physical experiences of each moment. Given the arguments she'd made in the past, it was not something she tended to admit, but she was intent on making the most of it nonetheless.

From: [identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com
Josiah wrapped his free arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him. A faint memory of holding someone else echoed through his mind, someone who always carried the scene of some exotic, dangerous, sun-soaked land, and even though she never spoke of it, he could always figure some things out but despite even his tactical genius, he could never quite solve the puzzle that was this woman, and he shook his head to clear his mind of the not-memory.

He held her like that for a silent minute or two longer before squeezing her hand, and then he began to pull her out of the front room. "Come on. I might as well give you your present now before I'm pelted with snowballs in reminder all day."

Date: 2009-12-27 05:58 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com
She'd leaned her head back against his shoulder, soaking in his warmth for as long as he let her, unaware of Calum's memories flashing through his mind at that moment.

she was in something of a blissful daze by the time he started to move, but perked up quickly enough and flashed him a small, knowing smile. "You shouldn't give me such ideas, Josi. Snowballs were far from my mind until you mentioned them."

Date: 2009-12-27 06:08 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com
He winced almost comically. "Then lets pretend I never said anything about snowballs. Ever. In fact, its not even actually snowing outside. It's all an optical illusion."

He led her through Rainbow's End, somewhat surprised by the quietness of the whole house. Well, he couldn't blame them - yesterday had been ridiculously hectic (watching Sora attempt to decorate a Christmas tree until Riku and Roxas both dragged him off before he could do any more damage had been equal parts amusing and alarming).

He stopped when they came to the door to her room, and he turned to give her a humorously chiding look. "Don't get any strange ideas by this."

Date: 2009-12-27 06:19 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com
She just snickered at his reaction to the threat of more snowballs. She wasn't that crazy about them, really. One had been enough (and she still thought it had been the perfect greeting). Teasing him, however, was proving to be great fun.

She gave him a look of mixed curiosity and amusement when he led her to her own room, and resisted the urge to make another jesting comment about having a boyfriend who was half-incubus.

"Now what sort of gift would you have to sneak into my room rather than leaving it under the tree with all the rest?"

Date: 2009-12-27 06:47 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com
He raised an eyebrow at her. "You remember Sora and the Christmas tree yesterday. That's why I didn't put it under the tree." He opened the door for her, letting her step inside first.

A quick glance around the room would show nothing out of the ordinary... until one looked at the window. Sitting on the window sill was a sculpture completely made of colored glass, perhaps about ten inches high. It was an upright, unfinished ring, red in the lower left hand corner, blue in the upper right. At least, at first glance, that's what it looked like.

Further examination would show that it wasn't simply a sculpted ring - it was two creatures circling around each other. The red half of the ring - which turned out to be not just red, but bright orange so vivid that it might as well have been gold - was actually a phoenix, blue crystal eyes peering upwards, each tiny feather meticulously crafted, and its body gracefully strained in flight. Its wings lay close but not flat to its body, and its golden beak was open in a cry, not of challenge, but something else. It lay flying just beneath the blue portion of the ring - a dragon of the East, its scales glinting in teal, blue, silver, and green. Its claws were outstretched, and its body twisted as it reached for the fiery plumes of the phoenix's tail. Its own eyes were a startling red and between miniature yet still sharply pointed teeth was a pearl.

Both creatures framed an intricately-woven dreamcatcher, and the glass caught the light thrown from the winter sky, sending colors flying across the windowsill. The phoenix's form shifted like fire itself while the dragon seemed to capture the ice of winter, perfectly balanced, so realistic that it almost seemed that they would both take flight at any instant.

"I figured if I left it beneath the tree, it would end up broken," Josiah explained with a shrug.

"Suzaku and Seiryu," she murmured, as the first thing that came to mind was the Eastern lore she'd picked up from her days of anime fandom. Perhaps it wasn't specifically those two, especially if he'd obtained it on another world, but she liked the similarity.

More than that, it was one of the most beautiful pieces of artwork she'd ever seen.

"It's amazing," she said quietly as she moved to peer more closely at it, lifting a hand to follow the curve of the dragon as if stroking it without actually touching it. He'd chosen the perfect place for it, too. Her windows had been Mabry's design, grand arches of prismatic glass. Along with the variety of other figurines perched around the room - mostly dragons and fanciful equines - this piece managed to stand out while still seeming to belong here, and Song was quite obviously enchanted by it.

When she could pull her eyes away, she beamed at him.

"Thank you. Where did you find it?"

"One of the worlds I traveled to," he said with a faint smile. Honestly, he had been surprised that that world even had something like this. "And no, you don't get to know which one because you might run off looking for real dragons to adopt. I hear they're hard to house-train."

He hesitated then and almost seemed to fidget. "So you like it?"

"Heheh. I wouldn't need to. Kairi still has that dragon egg from the Star Market," she pointed out.

His sudden uncertainty, even though faint, made her grin warmly. "Josiah, I love it. I'd love it if Maleficent gave it to me, but coming from you makes it... better than I have words for, at the moment. Although," she added, "I do prefer the other gift."

"Some girls carry around toy poodles in their purses - you'd carry around a dragon," he teased, although the mental image of anyone carrying a baby dragon around in their bag was amusing enough.

He seemed relieved at her next comment though. "Even though the first gift is only temporarily?"

Date: 2009-12-27 07:44 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com
She laughed again at that idea. "Probably, yes. And lead it on a leash even when it got bigger than myself... but, as for the other gift, yes. Actually I need you to leave for a while," she said mysteriously, "whether or not I want you to."

Date: 2009-12-27 07:49 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com
"That'd probably scare the hell out of the neighbors. Might as well make it official and add a sphinx, a centaur, and a unicorn to your collection too."

He only gave her a suspicious look though when she said that she needed him to leave. "What did I say about taking over the world when I'm gone?"
