Ring the Alarm
Who: Yuna and whoever shows up
What: Monsters are attacking D8
Where: The Great Maw
When: Feb 28
Status: Active
Yuna fluttered back and forth in a worry. She was back near the maw, keeping an eye on the suddenly overpopulated maw. Watching for the most part, hoping that none would suddenly make a rush for the town. For the most part they had just been idly wandering closer every now and again but with each foot closer they got, the more nervous she became.
"Oooooh. I hope they come quick." She muttered to herself, wishing the others to come faster. They were coming closer again, and it wouldn't be long until they reached the Bailey.
(whoops. forgot to mention it earlier but Behemoths are open to any of these so have fun choosing which ones you're fighting. Please note not all of them are defeatable the same way, etc, etc. And all smaller other monsters are free for your own choosing. Have fun and PLEASE KEEP TAGGING. >:)

The one thing she did feel was her bracelet, cold despite the hot blood pumping through her and heating her skin.
Her breath began to come ragged as she burst through the Fissure and leaped over the side of the Maw. As she glided over the soon-to-be battlefield, her heart turned to ice. Was it possible for so many Behemoths and other, similar creatures to be here at once?
Auria turned, arcing widely in her glide to catch Yuna. She shot the obviously anxious girl what should have been a reassuring grin, but turned more into a worried countenance mirroring poor Yuna's. Not very uplifting at all.
At last she hit the ground and ran fingers through her pulled-back hair. They were really in the soup now.

"We can take 'em," she murmured, grinning. She couldn't do it alone by any means, but with everyone else -
- Oh, look, there was Auria. She trotted over, not losing that confident smirk.
"Aw, we're not scared of a few Behemoths, are we?" Ray teased, offering her a hand to help her up. "C'mon, we can make quick work of these things. There are others on the way anyway."

'Fuuuuck.'
And going into repeat as she headed out to the Maw and actually saw the horde. It was not all Behemoths, but there were still a lot of large monsters.
"We're well and truly fucked this time, I think," she muttered. A short moment's debate saw her deciding that this was probably as good a time as any to try out the toxic arrows she'd been experimenting with since the first monsters had shown up.
This battle was going to suck either way.

Reaching the maw, she got there just in time to hear the end snippets of the conversation and stopped to watch Ray charge ahead. "Heeeey." She called, "Don't tell me you were planning to start without me!"

She snickered quietly, before suddenly grinning wildly, her eyes alight with glee. "And who says I'm slow?!" She yelled before bouncing on her heel and accelerating herself with glide alongside them.

This strategy had worked before, and it worked this time. The beast came down on that knee, allowing Auria to jump up to its back and attack the horns. Several hits and a potion later, the Behemoth was down and Auria was on her way to another one.

((OoC: Ray, you just described killing a Heartless Behemoth... Er, shit so did Auria... KH is the only game where Behemoths only have their horns as a weak spot.))

(tell me if this works with the behemoths, mmkay?)

This was not a Heartless. These were probably Final Fantasy creatures and she had no idea how to defeat them.
Just beat shit up, she decided, and promptly did exactly that. It was slow work, hitting the Behemoth's legs and swinging her hammer upwards to hit its belly. It keeled over and she hit it as many more times as she could.
And then she saw the rivulets of blood.
Auria stopped, choking back a gasp, and lifted her hammer to examine it. It was dripping, the blood coming off in streams to pool at her feet.
This was so much different than fighting Heartless, whose only "blood" was in the form of inky darkness. This was like killing a real animal.
Auria swallowed the bile rising in her throat and shoved her emotions into her stomach. Living creatures or not, they were still going to destroy Radiant Garden, and she had volunteered to control them. She had a duty to this city.
