Ring the Alarm
Who: Yuna and whoever shows up
What: Monsters are attacking D8
Where: The Great Maw
When: Feb 28
Status: Active
Yuna fluttered back and forth in a worry. She was back near the maw, keeping an eye on the suddenly overpopulated maw. Watching for the most part, hoping that none would suddenly make a rush for the town. For the most part they had just been idly wandering closer every now and again but with each foot closer they got, the more nervous she became.
"Oooooh. I hope they come quick." She muttered to herself, wishing the others to come faster. They were coming closer again, and it wouldn't be long until they reached the Bailey.
(whoops. forgot to mention it earlier but Behemoths are open to any of these so have fun choosing which ones you're fighting. Please note not all of them are defeatable the same way, etc, etc. And all smaller other monsters are free for your own choosing. Have fun and PLEASE KEEP TAGGING. >:)

The one thing she did feel was her bracelet, cold despite the hot blood pumping through her and heating her skin.
Her breath began to come ragged as she burst through the Fissure and leaped over the side of the Maw. As she glided over the soon-to-be battlefield, her heart turned to ice. Was it possible for so many Behemoths and other, similar creatures to be here at once?
Auria turned, arcing widely in her glide to catch Yuna. She shot the obviously anxious girl what should have been a reassuring grin, but turned more into a worried countenance mirroring poor Yuna's. Not very uplifting at all.
At last she hit the ground and ran fingers through her pulled-back hair. They were really in the soup now.

"We can take 'em," she murmured, grinning. She couldn't do it alone by any means, but with everyone else -
- Oh, look, there was Auria. She trotted over, not losing that confident smirk.
"Aw, we're not scared of a few Behemoths, are we?" Ray teased, offering her a hand to help her up. "C'mon, we can make quick work of these things. There are others on the way anyway."

'Fuuuuck.'
And going into repeat as she headed out to the Maw and actually saw the horde. It was not all Behemoths, but there were still a lot of large monsters.
"We're well and truly fucked this time, I think," she muttered. A short moment's debate saw her deciding that this was probably as good a time as any to try out the toxic arrows she'd been experimenting with since the first monsters had shown up.
This battle was going to suck either way.

Reaching the maw, she got there just in time to hear the end snippets of the conversation and stopped to watch Ray charge ahead. "Heeeey." She called, "Don't tell me you were planning to start without me!"

He was tired from the Pride Lands deal, and he would rather have been synthing or talking to Merlin about the summon gem.
But Radiant Garden being in danger. The restoration in danger of being undone. He had to act.
So he ran, stocked with ethers and hi-potions. And he was not the least bit calmer than anyone else who had already shown up. That was a lot of monsters.

It didn't take long for her to reach the maw, her eyes widening at the sheer amounts of monsters. Noticing Sora, she made her way over quietly. "It's a lot isn't it. But we can do it, right Sora?"

It looked just as bad when he arrived at the Maw. There Behemoths, sure, and many other monsters, some they'd seen already, some they hadn't. There were also multiple varieties of monsters. Just as he had seen two different types of Chimera the day before, he saw a few different kinds of Behemoth.
And there were Sora and Kairi. Perfect. This made things a little easier.

"K-KAIRI?"
no subject
"Yes, that's my name." she said.

"You can't be here! Those things will rip you to pieces!"

Arriving at the maw she hesitated and glanced at the bunnies before heading towards the battle, she could have sworn the things were looking at her as if she was crazy.

She came up on Aria and the small legion of bunnies, trying to grin even as the enormity of her decision began to sink in.
"Hey Aria, gonna sic the bunny things on them?"
no subject
"I didn't want to waste time trying to get them to stay behind."
She looked back towards the battle and drew her sword.
"Who knows, they might be useful. They have some sort of healing magic and seem eager to use it on friendly people."
no subject
She made a face, readjusting the grip on her sword. This was definitely reckless, which was exactly what Jalen had a problem with. But if she stayed behind all the time, how was she ever going to get better?
"Remember the wedding, gotta be alive for that." she muttered to herself before starting forward.
"Guess we'd better go help."

She turned her attention to the Plant Spider (http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Plant_Spider) that was heading in their direction. She wasn't surprised that the bunnies scattered, though they didn't go far.
"Shit, be careful. These things are kinda fast" she said before moving to attack and getting a nice cut on her arm in the process.
"This is going to be a fun battle."

She came wearing heavier armor than usual due to weather but nonetheless moving no slower than normal. "ALRIGHT! LET'S DO THIS!" She shouted, summoning her Spine into her hand with a quick thrust of her palm. "Point me at 'em!"

"Aya!" he called when he finally remembered. The armor had thrown him off a little.

"Sora!" she called back, easily reocnigzing the kid. "Glad to see you here too! C'mon, let's go kick some butt!"
no subject
"I'm ready to go, guys!"

He glided into the Maw, hanging onto the sail with one hand as he came up on a vaguely familiar woman. Quickly running through the list of Refugee names in his head, he finally realized why she seemed so unfamiliar. Last time he had seen her, she had looked remarkably different.
"'Sup, Ash," he called by way of a greeting as his eyes passed over the dozens of monsters in the Maw. Well, this was going to be anything but easy.
If it were easy, then the victory would lose its significance.
Josiah grimaced, and pushed the thought to the back of his mind. Now was not the time.

That help came in the form of him quickly flying to the Maw and ejecting himself from his gummi as it was sent barreling towards a group of large ogre like monsters as Josh himself parachuted slowly down and landed near a group of people
"Heeeey..What'd i miss?? Also, Does anyone know what in the living fuck is going on?"

Man, he was really going to have to learn thunder or something in the near future.
