Who: Amy, Chase, Josi-boy, Song
What: Ambush!
When: February 1st
Where: Rainbow's End
Status: Complete
Warning: BEWARE, SMUT. ...Maybe. >_>

Amy laughed softly as she checked on her sleeping son one more time before slipping out of the nursery and past Song's room. Her friend was absorbed in a book, and would hopefully remain that way until she'd gotten herself back up here. Chase had made herself scarce, but handy, which was easy enough to do in this house. A cackle escaped her as she practically bounced down the stairs. Poor Josi, he wouldn't know what hit him. Hell, neither would Song. Well, at first, anyway.

Amy hurried outside and over to where she'd left Jalen earlier, beneath Song's windows. He had orders to be inconspicuous, but wasn't doing a good job of it. She found him lying on his back staring up at Song's room with a scowl on his face. That wasn't going to work. She knelt next to him, lowering her voice.

"Oh come on, you can't do it that way! It's too easy to figure out you're here for a reason!"

Jalen sat up and brushed himself off. "What do you want me to do then? Pick flowers?"

"Why not?"

Her husband groaned and flopped back onto the grass. "It's still meddling. So what if they want to escape down a bed sheet?"

"But you said you'd do this for me...Okay, after I bribed you and pleaded, but Jale..." She started to pout.

"All right, I'll do something else, but you'd better get inside before you give everything away."

With a happy squeal, Amy jumped up and darted back into the house, parking herself close to the front door so she wouldn't miss Josi when he arrived.

To be honest, Chase wasn't much of a matchmaker. It required subtlety that she just didn't possess, and tact, which she had never quite gotten a grip on. But she expected that her heart was in the right place - honestly, before all things, she wanted her friends to be happy.

It had taken some quick pleading, but then Josiah had posted he was leaving (again), she had gotten in contact with Lilith, persuading the demon to take her time in coming back. She had probably scoffed when she heard the plan, but Chase didn't really mind.

She remembered a line from a certain pirate movie, a line that had fueled her plan and made her bring in Amy and Mabry. It all depended on the "one day", right?

It was why she was curled up in a corner of Rainbow's End, half-heartedly reading a book, a key tucked within its pages. Josiah was one of her best and closest friends - she could help him out with certain things.

If his bad luck didn't mess it all up.
