Grouchy Roxas is grouchy
Jul. 31st, 2009 08:56 pmWho: Roxas, Ash, Jenn, Aerith, Sora, Kairi, Aria, Pancake, Cloud, Riku, Rox and others as they arrive...
What: Roxas needs to vent. The Maw and any monsters in it are usually good for that. Well, okay, he took a monster hunt and left earlier than he planned to for it since he was ready to bust some heads, okay?
When: Saturday evening
Where: The Great Maw and its surrounding areas
Status: Ongoing
Notes: Can this log not die like the rest? *puppy dog eyes* Posting order... uh, order of appearance and some skipping may happen just to keep the log from dying. 8|
Roxas grumbled and cursed under his breath as he headed out. It wasn't that he didn't understand why they were upset. What was getting under his skin this time was that they were acting like he'd said he was going to run out and kill Josiah as soon as he could. Had they even read the whole entry? He didn't like the idea either, but they really had to consider the possibility. At least a few people had been civil about their disagreement, but some of them...
He paused near the Crystal Fissure and surveyed the surroundings. This was where they'd fought that White Mousse. All reports had indicated that there were plenty of Flan type monsters still hanging around there. Not surprisingly, he had seen a few on the way there, but they seemed to ignore him for the most part. He was headed further out anyway.
The Great Maw was not exactly empty, but there were a few monsters hanging around. In truth, he wasn't heading out here expressly to vent. He'd taken up a monster hunt and was just annoyed enough to head out earlier than he'd originally planned. It was nothing special. The guy just wanted some Ose pelts and those monsters frequented the Maw along with other Coeurl relatives. Not surprisingly, he did find at least one of the monster he was looking for right away. That was helpful and it lightened his mood a little. Now if he could kill it without getting too much blood on the pelt, he might be off to a good start...
Why did he have a nagging feeling that he wasn't alone, though?

Date: 2009-08-05 04:58 am (UTC)There had to be some way of defeating it quickly and soon. While one of the head was distracted by Riku, she charged at it's side, hoping to pull it's attention to her while the others attacked.

Date: 2009-08-05 05:12 am (UTC)The Chimera bellowed and turned quickly, giving the snake a good shot at both Riku and Kairi while its other heads each cast some spell or another at the other fighters.
Sorry for the tl;dr, I'm writing for two now. ^^;
Date: 2009-08-06 04:22 pm (UTC)Jenn started, almost dropping her (thankfully undrawn) bow as she looked straight up. A familiar mousey form was climbing down the ledge above her, sparing him a rebukeful glare every few feet. He dropped down next to her on the ledge. Jenn felt like facepalming herself.
"Oh my word, Sil, I am so sorry, I completely forgot to wake you up this morning!" she explained guiltily. "I was going to staff-train with Aerith and-"
"Yes, alright, we'll argue it out later," the Narnian mouse cut in brusquely. Turning to the battle scene, he studied the monster with calculating eyes. After a moment of silence, he asked cautiously, "...This is the same strange beast that attacked us in Narnia?"
Jenn nodded, notching another arrow to take a shot at the beast. "Yeah...I can't really explain why they're in both places, Sil, I'm told they've been popping up everywhere." She fired the arrow, but it glanced off the creature's hide. The teenager huffed an irritated breath. "I got in one good hit on the dragon head's eye, but I can't seem to make anymore shots!"
"Then keep those smaller beasts away," Silandro said with authority, indicating the small masses of other monsters being drawn to the commotion. "I shall go down and assist with this beast." And with that startling comment, and before Jenn could absorb it enough to make an appropriate response, the mouse somersaulted off of the ledge onto the ground below and went racing off towards the monster, weaving between Roxas and Sora and heading straight for the beast. The next thing anyone knew, a foot-and-a-half-tall gray-furred mouse with a rapier was scaling one of the chimera's legs, stabbing the inside leg and stomach as he went. It roared in pain and anger and reared up, furious at the strange small thing attacking it where it couldn't reach.
"SILANDRO!!!" Jenn stared after the little monster, but her protest died with that one yell. She shook her head in disgust and turned her aim on a wolf-like creature trying to sneak up on the battle. "Stupid stubborn overconfident Narnian son of a plague rat!" she muttered furiously. "If you get yourself killed I'm gonna make you respawn just so I can strangle you!"
Which is Jenn-speak for being extremely worried about someone.
