Who: Awiergan and Hex
What: A civil meeting! Maybe. >_>
Where: A cafe somewhere in Labyrinth City, Wanderer's Refuge
When: During Star Market

It hadn't been hard for Awiergan to find a nice, not too busy place to have her little meet up with Hex. The hard part had been convincing the overprotective warrior that nothing would happen to his little klutz. Actually, she'd let Amy do that, then shoved her into a mental closet, looks and all, as soon as they'd been out of Jalen's sight. She'd been a bit torn about bringing Eli along; while she wanted to show him off, she didn't trust Hex. In the end, she'd left him with his father.

Sighing, she idly stirred the raspberry tea she'd ordered. The sooner Hex got here, the sooner she could get the 'civility' over with and finish her personal shopping.

"You have no idea. Imagine knowing that you should have the capacity to do something. It's simple, and not even remotely difficult. But, for whatever reason, it just doesn't work. Like it's just outside of your grasp, and you can feel your fingertips just barely brushing it."

Which applied to more than the drawing project, but Awiergan didn't need to know about that.

"Ah, but we didn't really come to chat about work. How much time are you spending with Eli nowadays?" This, Hex predicted could have a rather interesting answer.

"Two reasons."

Hex leaned back into the chair, and took a look across the street outside. People walked back and forth. Some were alone, but there were very few who didn't have at least one person with them. Friends. Lovers. Family.

"I consider family to be something rather important. And I very much doubt that you do no consider Eli your child." A good soldier follows their orders, but a good commander gives orders they know will be followed. What was Maleficent thinking? "That much should be rather obvious."

She turned her gaze towards the ceiling, the next topic clearly making her a little nervous. There's no real delicate way to put this, is there?

"The second reason, is well... I don't know much about how Maleficent, ah, drew you out? From what little I know of you people, you seem like somewhat... incomplete existences. You seem to know and understand more negative emotions rather well. But you're all rather sociopathic, in the same instance. No offense."

"Now, spending more time with Eli makes you empathize. You care about his happiness and welfare. Not something one generally expects out of a being createdly from the darkness of another. This makes you a more rounded out person. You get a little 'light', to balance out your darkness."

Hex drums her fingers on the table, looking back to Awiergan.

"Ah, but I'm drifting. The point is, that being with Eli probably affects you in such a way, that you become a more psychologically 'normal' person." She shrugs, absently. "Probably anyway. And for a given value of 'normal'."

"Physical existence does tend to be more interesting than non-existence." Hex smirked right on back. Ah, it's nice to be right some days. Deciding to abandon the topic of Eli for now, she stayed on with a similar one.

"Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Tin-tin about to pop? How unusual do you think the new little sprite will be?" By now, the waiter had returned with their order. That was quick. "More specifically, how many 'non-human' characteristics will it have, assuming the comparison is a baseline human baby? I'm personally thinking that the little sprite will have fangs at least."
