Who: Ryan and Robin
What: We're at it again... or did we ever stop? The angel of dreams and the angel of waking are forever opposite.
When: March 3
Where: AIM
Trinary 0 (9:41:43 AM): It's classic, really. It seems like we're always fated to stand across from each other.
songbyrd3 (9:43:24 AM): Even while we stand on the same side.
songbyrd3 (9:44:49 AM): Though it's true, this time I do agree with you for the most part. Part of all that arguing was to throw off Calum. Wouldn't want him to think that even I am scheming against him.
Trinary 0 (9:44:51 AM): I'm sure our discussions would have been even more... vigorous were I around when you were not.
songbyrd3 (9:45:32 AM): I think we do quite well as it is.
Trinary 0 (10:13:37 AM): I was willing to believe Xemnas was a threat. I don't even know who the hell this Calum thinks he is.
songbyrd3 (10:15:06 AM): He shouldn't be underestimated.
Trinary 0 (10:16:08 AM): I haven't seen any proof that he can live up to his hype. I'd believe he was hard if his name was Blackbeard, Hook, or Barbarossa. But this guy?
songbyrd3 (10:17:18 AM): The fact that there's no information on him is why we shouldn't just rush into this. An ancient demon is afraid of him.
Trinary 0 (10:17:54 AM): An ancient demon who's been stuck in a book for God knows how long.
songbyrd3 (10:19:20 AM): I don't see how that makes a difference, especially since it's that same book which probably gave Calum the ability to exist after death. Lilith should know its power better than anyone.
Trinary 0 (10:27:13 AM): You're a lot more impressed by someone getting to hang out as a ghost than I am, apparently.
songbyrd3 (10:27:37 AM): Not that alone.
Trinary 0 (10:53:24 AM): Then what?
songbyrd3 (10:55:02 AM): Yes, Lilith is a demon who was at first only trouble for us, but she shares Josiah's soul now, which means she is part human. On this I do trust her.
Trinary 0 (10:55:22 AM): Oh /goooooooooood/
songbyrd3 (10:57:46 AM): I'm almost certain that she's in as much danger from him as Josiah is, if he catches her. Thus we share an enemy.
Trinary 0 (11:17:43 AM): Pardon me if I am leery about a succubus being soulbound to someone being completely benign. :|
songbyrd3 (11:20:00 AM): It may not be. Josiah in turn has a demonically-tainted soul, but the point stands that Lilith has likely become more trust-worthy because of that bond.
Trinary 0 (11:22:06 AM): Or Josiah has become less.
songbyrd3 (11:22:47 AM): If one is the case, than both should be to some degree.
songbyrd3 (11:26:44 AM): I'm not saying that we should trust Lilith no matter what. In fact I agree that it would be a bad idea. I know making comparisons may not be the best way to go about this, but if Calum is Xemnas, then Lilith is myself, after I'd stopped trying to save him. I knew he needed to be stopped, but the selfish part of me still wanted to find a way to spare him. I worry that Lilith might do the same, but currently she is distraught and furious with his very presence and wants nothing to do with it.
Trinary 0 (11:34:51 AM): So I seem judgemental and mistrustful to you?
Trinary 0 (11:34:57 AM): Or rather, do I?
songbyrd3 (11:35:18 AM): Of Lilith, yes.
Trinary 0 (11:35:48 AM): An archetype is an archetype for a reason. Remember that.
songbyrd3 (11:36:14 AM): Even the nature of a demon can be changed.
Trinary 0 (11:36:58 AM): Yes, ask the millions who burn in Hell how often that happens.
songbyrd3 (11:38:25 AM): You forget, the only Hell I was raised to believe in is a goddess who watches over the dead.
Trinary 0 (11:41:21 AM): I believe in the existence of good and evil. There are limits to how much compromise I have with them. That is why I seem abrupt and judgemental. Lilith has already tainted him. I'm not going to let her destroy him... And Calum doesn't even have that excuse. If he infringes upon Mabry or another innocent unprovoked again, I /will/ find a way to show him the weight of my displeasure.
Trinary 0 (11:42:09 AM): Someone needs to keep things in line. I suppose I'm just the guy who has to be the one who shows when you've gone too far.
songbyrd3 (11:43:14 AM): Do what you will, then. If you can best Calum, it'll be good for all of us. If not, at least we'll have an example of what we're dealing with.
