The Gungir

Who: Rakath, Save, anyone in Disney Castle
What: Random interactions.
Where: Save is on the Gungir, Rakath is outside of it.
When: All Day

Don't react till I tag both openings. Rakath will have one. Save her own.

The two are separated from each other, but one might interrupt the other if wished.

Shortly after Ren had posted her video message to the community, she had been more or less kicked out of the library with strict orders not to come back until after she had gotten some fresh air, a good meal, and a decent night's sleep in bed for once. So here she was, dutifully completing the first part of her obligations in the hope that maybe it would lift her spirits after all. She always hated herself when she got into her gloomy fits like this.

Most of her hopes for a quiet, peaceful break were dashed when she turned a corner and saw Rak sitting there, apparently meditating. Well, maybe he was so in tune with what he was concentrating on, he wouldn't notice her. Ren really wasn't in the mood for another pointless argument about their respective philosophies right now.

Well, of course Rak would notice her. That was the way the universe worked. Ren sighed to herself and turned to answer him, but his expression caught her by surprise. She hadn't seen him look like that in a long, long time. It was nostalgic, to say the least. "Something like that," she admitted. "They told me to get out and not come back until I've rested enough for the words to stop resembling ancient Greek chicken scratch."

She sat across from Rak, resting an arm on her knee. "So how long have you been sitting out here?" she asked curiously.

Ren chuckled tiredly at Rak's suggestion. "Unfortunately, I've got too much on my plate as it is for the time being," she sighed. "Maybe once things calm down a little, I'll give it a try," she said with a smile so he'd know she was joking, too. And there wasn't any need to worry about her working until she starved to death, since she could take care of herself, really.

...Granola bars and bottled water totally counted, right?

Her laugh turned more genuine, or at least less lifeless, when Rak mentioned Pokemon. "Your priorities are top-notch as always," she teased, not quite realizing how easy it was to interpret that statement the wrong way, given their current relationship. She was exhausted, and her mind was honestly on trying to unwind a little, not pick a fight.

"That's easy," Ren replied, tucking some hair that had been blown free by Rak's Aura behind her ears. "Bug plus Steel equals kill it with Fire." She might not have had much time lately to keep up with her copy of Platinum, but she at least remembered that much.

She shook her head and smirked. "Showoff. How long can you stay like that, anyway?"

At least Ren's stomach decided to maintain some level of her dignity by not growling at that moment. "Sounds tempting," she admitted. And it wasn't like Rak had any reason to conk her on the head and kidnap her the moment she was on board either, right? She hadn't done anything worth incurring anyone's ire in particular... well, maybe her parents, but she doubted that they'd be willing to pay a bounty hunter just to bring her home, so she was pretty sure she was safe in that regard.

"So basically, once the light show starts going out, both you and your enemies know you're in trouble," Ren noted, tilting her head slightly. "Unless you have a few more tricks up your sleeve, which I'm sure you would."

She sighed and smiled, giving in. "All right, fair enough. So what would I owe you for this favor?" she asked. To use the old saying, there was no such thing as a free lunch, and this was still Rak she was dealing with.
