Shortly after Ren had posted her video message to the community, she had been more or less kicked out of the library with strict orders not to come back until after she had gotten some fresh air, a good meal, and a decent night's sleep in bed for once. So here she was, dutifully completing the first part of her obligations in the hope that maybe it would lift her spirits after all. She always hated herself when she got into her gloomy fits like this.

Most of her hopes for a quiet, peaceful break were dashed when she turned a corner and saw Rak sitting there, apparently meditating. Well, maybe he was so in tune with what he was concentrating on, he wouldn't notice her. Ren really wasn't in the mood for another pointless argument about their respective philosophies right now.
