Who: a mysterious passer-by and whoever is in Radiant Garden
What: He's looking for someone but likes to talk. A lot.
Where: anywhere in RG
When: sometime during the day?

He didn't actually stand out from the usual hustle and bustle that was the norm for an afternoon in Radiant Garden. He actually appeared quite average, from his height to his nondescript coat and sunglasses to his posture. Nothing too odd about him at all.

He sat on the stairs leading down to the towns square, watching as people passed by, completely unbothered by his presence.

He leaned back against the wall of the building Ari had been on top of, laughing. "Well, if you're anything like the book, I would hope someone like me would be around to catch you." He shook his head. "Though that certainly brings new meaning to head over heels..."

He smiled a bit. "Your travels, you say? Have you ever been to the Star Market?"

"Oh yeah, definitely. It'd be a big help to have something soft to land on." Ari agreed, grinning slightly.

Her eyes lit up at the mention of the market, and she nodded a few time. "Yes I have~! In fact, it's where I got this book." She said, hugging it tighter.

A few beats later, she made a soft sound at herself and smiled at him sheepishly before offering a handshake. "My manners seems to all have left me again. I'm Ari."

"Though I can certainly think of other situations where that's appropriate," he mused, leaning forward just slightly as his grin grew wider. He nodded at her book. "I've only been once and that was actually to give a book away. I'm terrible at bartering."

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Ari. My name is James."

Her grin widened a bit as well, imagining plenty of other situations, not all of them PG. His next statement made her blink a bit before glancing at the book in her arms. "Really? Wow, small world."

"A pleasure. An uh, I really do apologize for that dropping that book on you."

Yes. Really.

"A small world indeed - the owner of the book should be acquainted with someone I know," James replied coolly. "And if you're really concerned about the book... well, I can think of ways you can apologize, if you'd like."

She blinked at his tone and following statement, silently raising a eyebrow. "Really." She asked dryly, giving him a look.

While she could think of numerous things as well, Ari was curious of what he thought. One of these days she would remember that her curiosity tended to get her into trouble. But not now.

"Really," he confirmed, giving her a quick up-and-down sweep of his eyes. Still, from his playful tone of voice, it was hard to tell what he was really thinking.

A second eyebrow joined the first, just staring for now. Really, for someone with no previous experience at being flirted at (...this was flirting, right?) she had no idea what to make of his words.

She blinked again. "Your sister? Sure, I know a lot of the people here."

He paused thoughtfully and then shook his head. "I'll keep that in mind, Ari. However..." He peered at her again and a sly smile appeared on his face. "Perhaps sometime in the future you can grace me with your company again?"

She tilted her head slightly, a eyebrow raising again in silent question. However it was gone before long and she resisted rolling her eyes at the sly smile of his. "Sure thing." She replied, amusement tinging her voice. "I'll try not to drop any more hardbound books from high places too."

"Don't worry, love," he said, nodding a farewell. "I can think of plenty of other things for you to do."

He then flashed her another smile, turned on his heel, and walked off.
