Who: a mysterious passer-by and whoever is in Radiant Garden
What: He's looking for someone but likes to talk. A lot.
Where: anywhere in RG
When: sometime during the day?

He didn't actually stand out from the usual hustle and bustle that was the norm for an afternoon in Radiant Garden. He actually appeared quite average, from his height to his nondescript coat and sunglasses to his posture. Nothing too odd about him at all.

He sat on the stairs leading down to the towns square, watching as people passed by, completely unbothered by his presence.

"Wouldn't be anything new." She answered, then paused. Talking to strangers, bad. She glanced down at him and frowned. So why was she still standing here?

Oh great. "That's quite a compliment to give a complete stranger, you know." Amy took a step back when he stood, because she'd finally narrowed down where the feeling was coming from. Perfect.

"Naw, I can take care of myself just fine, thanks. My husband's waiting anyway."

And another step back...which missed.

Brilliant, klutz moment. She thought as she slipped. She landed on her butt a step or two down, the bag still clutched in her arms. Amy was still for a moment before she began giggling helplessly, the stranger forgotten. The situation wasn't all that funny, but it reminded her too much of her last spill down the stairs on Earth...but at least she wasn't carrying dishes this time.

His voice reminded her where she was, and the giggling stopped immediately. Amy studied his hand warily before going with her instincts and scrambling to her feet without his help.

"No reason to be, I'm fine, see?" No, she didn't sound slightly panicked, why do you ask? If only because in a way, this was beginning to remind her of Calum. Ugh. She pushed the thought away and hurried up to the top of the steps. Yay, high ground! Now she could throw her shopping at him if she needed to.

Or, you know, yank that dagger out of your bracelet. She reminded herself. Funny she hadn't remembered she was wearing the stupid thing. What was the point of having an object of holding when you forgot you put it on?

"Yes, it is. If you were actually human, maybe it wouldn't be, but you're not, are you?" Well, there it was. Amy shifted her grip on the bag, eyes still on the stranger. Going home now would be good. She wasn't exactly gaining much by having this conversation...except somewhat entertaining images of Jalen's reaction when she told him.

...Yeah. Definitely time to go. She flashed a smile before she turned away.

"Nice to meet you, whoever you are, but I really do have to get going. Bye!"

"More like a curse," Amy muttered as she moved away, lowering her head to check inside the bag. Good thing she hadn't gotten anything made of glass today. She hadn't walked very far before she stopped again, the hair on the back of her neck going up. You've got to be kidding me.

Turning back, she sighed. Somehow, this was going to turn into a great joke if she ever told anyone.

"Nice eyes. What exactly do you want, now?" Rude, her? Naw.

"Depends on who you're looking for." She thought she probably knew already, but hey, maybe if she helped him, he wouldn't follow her home. The idea of that kind of creeped her out, but on the other hand, she could picture Jalen angrily waving his sword around, demanding blood. She smiled faintly before shaking her head.

"So?"

"I knew it. I mean really, who else? Lilith's not here, she left a while ago with Josi." Goody, information given. Amy glanced around a bit, thinking. Maybe not the best idea to go home just yet, but she couldn't just hang out around here forever. Jalen would come looking eventually.

Oh boy.

"Yeah, okay, sorry I couldn't give you better news, but I really have other stuff I should be doing." While being assertive had never really been her thing, she wondered if maybe she shouldn't start practicing it more. 'Cause really - hello, demon?

"...Yes." There, great answer. Instead of heading the way she'd originally been planning, Amy did a quick turn and bounced down the steps towards the market. It was a definite contrast to her earlier klutz attack. If she couldn't go home, she'd just pick up a few other things. Like that story book she'd wanted to get for Eli.

She was halfway to the stall before she stopped on a hunch and turned around again, eyebrows in her hair. Wonderful.

"Um..."

Okay. Ignoring demon boy now. If he actually tried to touch her, she'd torch his ass. Or something. Shaking her head, she set about buying the book and a few other equally cute things for her son, then decided she might as well just head home.

"Why couldn't he be a harmless cat," Amy muttered, giving him a wide berth as she walked past. Or a puppy. Hell, why not a Flan? She could deal with those. Well, if he was still there when she reached Rainbow's End, she'd let Jalen deal with him.
