Who: Roxas, Sora, Cloud, Fox, Riku, Kairi, Aerith, Tifa(?)
What: A crash, and lectures all around.
When: After the post on the network.
Where: The Maw

To Riku, this particular trip to the Maw was taking much longer then usual, despite the fact that he and Kairi had ran for most of the way. It wasn't necessarily that he was worried (at least, not now) - they could take care of themselves, and no one had seemed to be injured in the post to the network - or even angry. He was, quite simply, annoyed. Sora going off and doing his own thing was fine, but he could have at least have told him something so that he wouldn't have had to worry.

...That was a bit hypocritical of him, though, Riku realized. It wasn't like he had ever done a good job of keeping people aware of his whereabouts, but...

Thankfully, there wasn't much more time for thinking - they were almost there.

Kairi had swiftly kept up with Riku, her mouth drawn in a rather unhappy line. She as well was rather annoyed at Sora and Roxas running off without them or even a warning. While Kairi didn't mind too horribly when they ran off on occasion, she did like being informed of it so at least she didn't have to spend all her time worrying that they were okay and not getting themselves into too much trouble.

But then boys would be boys and if there was one thing she learned since the start of this all was how much they seemed to like running off without a word. She glanced at Riku, a slight amused smile curling before spotting them in the distance and picked up the pace, striding faster to the group.

Sora sighed, looking at the totaled gummi ship. At least this time, it wasn't his fault.

Everyone was on edge lately, even with the passing holidays. Mostly it stemmed from Aria's seemingly unavoidable run-ins with Sephiroth, but he guessed that the return of the Heartless and the whole not knowing anything helped grate everyone's nerves.

He still stood by his words to Roxas - everything would turn out just fine. He believed that with all of his heart.

He just winced at the idea of what would happen when Kairi and Riku found him.

This was a fine mess. First they'd run out to rescue Aria, only to find out halfway to another world that she was safe. Then, on the way back, they'd had a fun little encounter with Heartless ships. Fox's ship was smashed, but likely repairable. Not that that made it any better. Neither did the fact that no one was seriously injured. None of it should have happened in the first place.

Roxas huffed, looking over the wreck. Had the ship's engines cut out sooner than they had, they might not have survived. That thought made him shudder, but he said nothing about it, instead addressing something else, "Is everyone okay?"

"Define 'okay'," To Cloud, there was nothing "okay" about this situation at all.
If anyone honestly thought that he would be okay with someone putting their life in danger because they kept hanging around with Sephiroth, then they just didn't know him well.
Or at all.
He didn't even want to think about what Aerith and Tifa would say. He had promised them, promised himself, that he wouldn't run away again.

"I think Cloud has a point, Roxas. A definition might help," Fox grumbled, looking over her ship. By some miracle, the hull was intact enough to prevent the kind of catastrophic failure that had torn Ryuu's Bumblebee apart. The hammer space inside the ship was still functioning and the ship was definitely reparable. The hard part was going to be arguing with Cid about it. He'd been a little affronted when she'd gone to Chip and Dale for her ship. That was all beside the point. It shouldn't even have happened.

Which brought up another point. How in the hell had those Heartless ships gotten so close unnoticed? That would need to be looked into, although one possibility that was that she was fairly distracted.

"Dammit."

Aerith was right with Riku and Kairi, worry for their friends etched on her face. A crash never boded well for those involved, and she didn't exactly expect them all to walk away without a scratch. She just hoped none of them suffered any fatal injury, or she might be too late to help.

Tifa had already been in the area, out venting her aggressions on nearby heartless. She had heard the crash and took off, knowing very well how bad it could possibly be. While she wasn't a healer like Aerith and didn't have any white magic of her own, she still kept a rather handy pile of potions and such for those just in case urgently needed cases.

Spotting the wreckage and the people involved, her movement slowed slightly, noting that others were arriving as well.

Kairi approached both Sora and Roxas, her eyes scanning the both of them for anything in need of healing or fixing. She didn't say a word, that saying more than words could possibly say at the moment.

Busying herself for a moment, she fixed small little things like splotches of dirt here, a uneven collar there before stepping back. Staring at them both, she continued to stay silent, waiting for either of them to speak first.

Roxas wasn't sure if Kairi's silence unnerved him more than if she had started lecturing them right away or not. She certainly didn't look happy and now that he thought of it, it looked like she was waiting for one of them to speak up.

And he honestly didn't know what to say. Besides which, it was probably better to let Sora be the one to stick his foot in his mouth.
