[mod note: so to keep this at least a little neat for viewing pleasure, there'll be separate threads for each world and if you want; location. And all comments would go under each of that. . A sample with Radiant Garden will be posted before you guys even start tagging Also~ we're gonna try something new! Action tags will be allowed for those who want to use 'em. For those who don't know what they they're basically what we use in the crack room at times. The [I am doing such and such] 'blah blah blah' type tags. HAVE FUN]

all over town

Ari let out a breath, childishly sticking out her tongue to catch a snowflake or two. While it wasn't her favorite holiday, Christmas always had brought at least a little joy to her life in the payment of candy canes. And presents. Two of her rather guilty pleasures.
Ari hummed carols under her breath and went to wander aimlessly, vaguely hoping to bump into someone.

Somewhere along the line, Ari would find herself the victim of a flying tackle.

Ray laughed, pushed herself back up and offered a hand to her friend. "Merry Christmas," she said with a broad smile. As she looked around, she commented, "Man, there's so much snow! Have you ever seen this much before?!"

It was a stupid question, considering, but that didn't matter. What mattered was that it was there, and it was awesome.

[identity profile] nachtstar.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Which created a awkward gurgle of a strangled carol before Ari was introduced to the snow face first.

Aru shook herself off after standing, making a face at Ray. "Merry Christmas to you too." She looked around as well, a grin forming again at just how much of it. "Nope! New York never had this much." She said cheerfully. "And if we did, it was either ice by morning and or icky dirty slush."

And it was awesome. It was so awesome that Ari was using aero to dump more snow on Ray and running for her life.

Rainbow's End

[identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
The great house of the Refugees was vibrantly decorated (minus mistletoe, since Mabry had been concerned about the babies eating it). Song, for her part, had spent a couple hours the day before running all about with various decorations, spreading them throughout the building, adding to what had already been set up by others.
And when it came to Christmas decorations, Song liked to improvise...
One of her toy horses was set in front of a small ceramic sleigh that held candy. Meanwhile, a stuffed dragon perched among the branches of the tree. Similar things had been done in each public room, and Song was rather proud of herself.

Currently, though, she was curled up on on end of her favorite couch in the front room, nursing a mug of apple cider and waiting patiently for company.

There was a distinctively childish gleam in Ray's eyes. "I can't believe it! I've never seen a white Christmas befoaah!! Oh, you are gonna pay for that one!" she laughed, picking up a handful of snow and tossing it, chasing her.

[identity profile] nachtstar.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
"You've gotta catch me first~" Ari sing-songed, grinning full out at Ray. She attempted to duck the snow, eeping slightly when some of it hit the back of her neck. Running past a high ledge, she grabbed snow from that almost dancing from how cold it was and tossed it behind her before continuing to run.

Re: Radiant Garden

Being a researcher, Ash's time and space was limited to the quiet of Radiant Garden's epic library.

But it was Christmas. Christmas was a time of peace and joy, beautiful hymns and presents and rum and egg based drinks. Time to go celebrate the season OUTSIDE the library!

Heck, if she didn't see anyone she knew, she could always treat herself to Christmas dinner.

throwing on her coat and hat she headed into town.

Grumping around town

[personal profile] thirteenth_brat 2009-12-26 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
Roxas couldn't place his feeling of unease. It wasn't outright concern that something was definitely going to happen. He already knew something was going to happen, it was just a question of what would happen and when and whether or not they could handle it. Over the top optimism was not his strong point. That was Sora's schtick. Knowing that there was a threat lurking around somewhere made it a little difficult to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Not that this was the only thing on his mind as he wandered around town, but it didn't stay down for long when he tried to think of something else. The only other thing on his mind was whether or not he really wanted to be out and about. He had considered staying in with some tea or hot chocolate and a book, but that made it too easy for people to find him and bother him.

No matter where he went, though, he took care to avoid all the damned sprigs of mistletoe some weirdo had placed all over town. Honestly, where had such a weird tradition come from? Not that he would have complained if Kairi cornered him under one of the sprigs, but that was a little beside the point.

Josiah looked out the window of an adjoining room as the snow continued to fall outside, barely able to see past the huge front yard. At this rate, Radiant Garden was going to have more of a white Christmas than anyone probably liked. He frowned at the idea of shoveling, wondering if he had a memory of a useful spell to obliterate the snow.

After a moment, he smiled slightly. Well, at least it was still pretty enough. It would be better once the snow would stop falling.

He headed towards the front room, pausing when he saw Song. He then glanced at her improvised decorations and raised an eyebrow. "Been having fun, I see."

[identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
She gave him an immensely contented and rather smug look, then made a small gesture for him to join her on the sofa.

"You should have seen the 'suspended globs of chaos' I used to make back on Earth. It's all about randomness arranged artfully~"

[identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
The amused look didn't leave his face as he set next to her.

"Chaotic order, huh? You and my brother would get along." He paused thoughtfully. "Actually, between Adam and Becks, Christmas at home was never boring - especially that one winter when Dad accidentally short-circuited the entire neighborhood trying to put up Christmas lights."

No grumping when Sora's around

[identity profile] a-total-sap.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Roxas!" a cheerful voice called from less than a block away. A heavily-clothed figure was waving at him somewhat clumsily before making its way towards him. To be fair, Sora had learned his lesson from the snowball fight a few weeks previous and was dressed in exactly one less layer than he had been that day.

But he still looked like a walking Gap commercial. With zippers. Lots and lots of zippers.

[identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
As soon as he was sitting down, she turned, catlike, and rested her head in his lap.

"Impressive," she chuckled. "We never had enough Christmas lights. That's part of why I took to improvising. Though... mostly it was just because having the same decorations every year was boring. It's the same with snow sculptures. I can't build the same thing twice."

She shifted a bit, apparently testing Josiah's usefulness as a pillow, for future reference.

"But, I'm rambling. Are you having a happy Wintereenmas?"

[identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
"We always bounced between 'oh, isn't that a tastefully decorated house' to 'oh god what have they done to Rudolph and that menorah?'" he mused with a shake of his head. It had always been in good fun though, and the neighbors would always inform them of the bets they took in the days leading up to the first snowfall. Ever since he had moved out (and the world ending), he had missed Christmas and Hanukkah at home.

He absently brushed a hand through Song's hair when he answered her question. "I haven't had to shovel. Therefore, this is the best holiday ever."

[identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
She seemed to melt at his touch, going slightly limp, and wondering vaguely how people seemed to instinctively know that her scalp was something like an erogenous zone...

"I'll make sure you don't have to do any of the shoveling to come, just don't stop petting me right there, yes..." If she could purr, she'd be doing so quite loudly.

On the way to Rainbow's End

[identity profile] rox-chan.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
The streets were quiet, and Rox was taking her time walking down the street toward Rainbow's End. Everyone was inside; most of the shops in the Marketplace were closed. Once, it would have felt scary. Now, though, it was nice. She felt comfortable, felt...at home.

It made her glad that she had decided to stay for Christmas, even though she felt a pang at the thought of her real home. She had let them down - her grandparents, mother, sister, friends, but...going back wouldn't make things better. Not now.

She shivered for a moment, trying to wrap her coat tighter around her (which was useless, since it was already zipped) before continuing, trying to pay at least a little bit of attention to where she was going.

[identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Maybe we should start getting you some hats if you get like this every time someone touches your hair." He grinned at her, obviously amused at her reaction. "Do I get one of those nifty snow blowers for Christmas?"

[identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
"I never wear hats. The most I'll put up with is a hood, and anyway, I'd be perfectly happy if people petted my hair more often." She rubbed her head against his hand in a sort of nuzzle to emphasize this.

"And no, actually, but I do have an equally useful present for you. It's under the tree. you'll have to dig it out yourself."

[identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
"I guess whatever makes you happy then," he teased, continuing to pet her hair. "And I guess I'll have to take that Santa hat I bought you back to the store." Though to be honest, most of the gifts that he brought back with him he had managed to retrieve the night before from the gummi ship - and a good thing too, considering the fact that it looked as if they were going to get snowed in.

He sat back slightly in the couch. "There's just one problem with that. The tree is all the way over there, and I currently have a lap full of Song."

whereever Sora is idk

[identity profile] rikugasmic.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
Not too far from where Sora had found Roxas, Riku was leaning against a wall, thinking about nothing in particular. The cup of hot cocoa in his hands was getting very cold very fast, but he didn't mind too much - it was almost gone, anyway.

He liked Christmas, really. Though he would've been even happier if they could have stayed on the Islands, he was thankful enough that things were quiet for the moment. He was content with being able to spend the the holiday with his friends.

After gulping down the last of his cocoa, he looked at Sora and Roxas once again, deciding to leave them alone for now.

[identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
She hummed a quiet laugh, and rolled over so that she could look up at him. Her eyes had a mischievous sparkle to them.

"If you want me to move, you may have to bribe me."

[identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
"And what do you propose?" he asked, giving her a playfully confused look.

[identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, surely you can come up with something creative. You seem to have an amazing ability to retain most of your mental functions, despite all the head trauma you attract."

[identity profile] epauranonavere.livejournal.com 2009-12-26 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
He tilted his head, pretending to be in deep thought over her comment. Then he moved quickly, half-tossing Song over his shoulder and picking her up, ignoring any protests she would make. "At the end of the day, I'll just have to go for the old Neanderthal move and drag you off."

He quickly crossed the space between the couch and the tree before setting her down. "You just want me to get a bunch of pine needles in my hair looking for this, don't you?"
