Who: Roxas
What: A trip out to the market doesn't go over very well... though maybe a little better than it could have...
Where: Radiant Garden Marketplace
When: Monday evening
Status: Complete

It was true that he was feeling a lot better, but Roxas wasn't so sure that was proper justification for Merlin to send him out to the market for tea. He was feeling better, but not completely recovered and he doubted the chill air of the evening was a good thing for him at the moment. He a cranky, hot headed little bastard, but he wasn't stupid. The only reason he had wound up agreeing was that the wizard had threatened him with a small and fluffy form and then demonstrated that he could well do it when the Keybearer had refused again. Not liking the idea of spending anymore time (and risking being seen) as house cat, Roxas had hurriedly agreed to go ahead and get the tea. Somehow, he got the feeling that it was all a bluff but for the demonstration.

"Evil old curmudgeon," Roxas grumbled under his breath as He browsed though the shop's selection and found the specific tea Merlin wanted. At least the old wizard had given him munny for it. With his purchase in hand, he headed back to the Restoration Committee House.

If only getting back could've been as easy as getting there. He knew there were monsters hanging around Radiant Garden, but so far he hadn't seen any in or near the market. Well, until now. Three Coeurls leapt at him for the shadows, hissing and generally being menacing.

"Fucking cats again," he spat, tucking the tea tin into a pocket and summoning his Keyblades. He might have been at a disadvantage in the Pride Lands, not being used to lion form and lacking magic at the time, but here all he had to worry about was whether or not there were more than the three he saw. Although, large felines with far more substantial bodies than Heartless would likely be a bit harder to kill. And he wasn't quite sure what magic was best against them...

Or maybe he was. The ones he'd seen in the Pride Lands had seemed awfully uncomfortable in the snow. It was worth a try at the very least. If it wasn't effective, he'd have to kill them the hard way. Pretending not to notice the one slipping off to his left to get behind him, he cast a Blizzaga at the other two. One dodged it, the other was caught unprepared and speared though its neck on the icy blades. The survivor charged, leaping high just as the one behind leapt. Roxas side stepped them, letting the two collide and casting a Blizzaga at them while they were trying to sort themselves out. One didn't rise again, but the other fled.

That left two carcasses lying in the street. What the hell were they doing in town like this anyway? Maybe that was a stupid question. They been yanked out of there natural habitat and dropped someplace where there might not be anything for them to eat... safe the people right here in town. What a mess. On the advice of a bystander, he alerted a leather worker to the carcasses. The guy was happy to have the pelts and asked Roxas to wait a bit while he took care of something. He came back about ten minutes later with two Thunder Shards and a Thunder Stone, and it seemed like he'd just cleaned the items off. At Roxas's questioning look he explained that sometimes such monsters would end up eating such things, usually when they ate whoever was carrying it. He hurriedly added that he'd washed them thoroughly as he handed them to Roxas, stating he had no use for the items. He also gave Roxas 100 munny.

Well, that had been surprisingly lucrative, though he kind of thought that maybe he should've gotten more that 100 munny for that.
