Who: Eeeeverybody!
What: Party time has finally arrived! Time for everyone to relax a little after all the recent craziness.
Where: Tifa's Bar
When: Friday, Aug. 7
Notes: Open log, thread however. Try not to break the bar.

Everything was ready to go. Seventh Heaven was sparkling clean for the occasion, tables and chairs spaced out nicely across the room. A table against the wall was loaded with a wide variety of food and drinks, both homemade and storebought, and another table held a stack of games in case anyone was in the mood. It was a pretty simple set-up, but everyone who had helped seemed to think that it was just right.

Jenn was nervous, and excited. Finally, she was going to meet all of the people she'd been talking to on the network this past month! She'd been eagerly waiting for this party ever since they'd started set-up (and the chocolate-chip cookies over on the snack table were Jenn Specialty). Now they just needed to arrive. Being the self-designated greeter, Jenn took up a position by the door and waited to point people to the snacks. She made a valiant effort not to look like an overexited geek.

As the party progressed below, a small, single-pilot Gummiship drifted slowly down towards Radiant Gardens, trailing a narrow stream of smoke. Inside, Zero smiled as the world's surface approached. This was a bit later than he'd expected to return to the familiar worlds of months ago, but...certain things couldn't be avoided.

As the Gummiship neared a clear landing site, a burst of flame suddenly spurted out of one of the engines, sending the craft into a sideways roll. Zero grabbed the controls and pulled left hard. A few seconds later, the Gummiship touched down at an awkward angle right next to the Seventh Heaven bar, wobbled for a moment, and then crashed over on its side, sending a few Gummi blocks flying. A frustrated Zero popped out of a side hatch. "Damn it...this'll take at least a week to fix..."

Aria heard a crash from outside and went to see what it was. She arrived just in time to see someone pop out of a side hatch.

It took her a minute to recognize Zero as she had only seen him a couple times and had never really spoken to him.

"...You really need to work on your landings."

Zero looked up from inspecting the damage to his engines. The girl talking to him looked completely familiar; he knew she had to be one of the former Refugees...just, which one? He waved at her. "Oh, hey...um...shoot, don't tell me..."

Zero paced once around his Gummiship, thinking, then sighed. "Ok, sorry, you've gotta remind me who you are."

"Heh, don't worry about it. We never really talked or anything. I'm Aria." She looked over at the damaged ship. "It's rather strange that you crashed right outside where we're having a party."

Zero smiled and walked away from his ship, figuring he'd get to work on it later. "Aria, right. Nice to meet you...again, I guess. Sorry, I haven't been anywhere near here for months, it's still kinda weird."

With a crack, one of the Gummiship's wings broke off. Zero turned around and looked at it in disbelief. "Oh, damn it! That one should've been good for another 3 months! Stupid refurbished parts...anyways, me crashing isn't strange. But, party?" Zero sniffed the air and his smile widened. "Excellent! Finally some good food! All I've had on-board for the past week was instant noodles..." Excited, he walked towards the bar, glad to be back somewhere familiar.

"Heh, I think the food is the only reason for some people to be here." She took another look at the crashed ship before shaking her head and going back into the bar.

Chase was about to head back to her corner to finish reading when a crash outside brought her to a halt. She paused, and craned her neck to see what in the world was making so much noise outside - the world's not coming to an end again, is it, she thought. A few moments passed, and realizing she couldn't really see anything, shrugged it off, and started walking back towards her book.

She stopped again with a newcomer entered into the bar. She bit her bottom lip in thought as déjà vu hit her - she didn't know a lot of the Refugees, and was famously terrible with names. She stared at him for a very long time, and laughed quietly to herself when she realized how rude she was being. That's why she believed strongly in nametags (although, in the case of some people, nametags would be pointless too).
