Who: Merlin, Mim, Ray, Greta(?)
What: A Wizard's Duel
When: Saturday night/early Sunday morning
Status: Ongoing
Merlin had just fix a cup of tea, a nice Ceylon one of the Refugees had gotten for him, and sat down to see what sort of hijinks the Refugees were getting up to on their network. It was peaceful evening, all things considered. There were concerns of this mystery... jester and such, but all in all there was little to be concerned with.
Or not. Merlin nearly choked on his tea as the community loaded up and the varyingly sized font came up, with one line of it flashing. Mim had found the community. He would be somewhat bemused that she could use a computer but for the content of the entry. The lunatic had his current student and she wanted a duel. If she wasn't crazy on a level that inspired all sorts of colorful monikers, he might trust that she'd keep her word. The only thing for it was to find out where she wanted to fight and when. She answered the question of where, but seemed content to let him stew over when.
Meanwhile, some of the Refugees commented as well, some of them amusing Mim and others annoying her. It was sometime later when Mim sent him an Instant Message stating that she would like to fight NOW.
"Well then," he muttered, "So it begins." He logged out of his account and shut off the computer.

Date: 2009-01-30 02:14 am (UTC)"You can go any time, you know! The door's right over there. But don't you wander off too far; I'll need you nearby if Merlin's late! Just remember -- you're out of place here. And you can't use any of your magic here, either! Remember that spell I used? You won't be able to cast magic for another day!" She cackled and spun around in her cottage, anticipating the duel at hand.

Date: 2009-01-30 02:19 am (UTC)She glared at Mim as she spoke. Finally, she just rose and walked out the door, wandering off into the woods. After a while, a town came into view. She considered going, but decided against it -- Mim was right, she didn't belong here. Attracting attention like that would probably yield negative results more than anything.
Sighing, Ray doubled back, circling around the cottage. She certainly wasn't going back inside, however, not with that lunatic. Instead, she climbed a tree and made herself comfortable as she waited for Merlin to appear.

Admittingly, that was not one of her best ideas.
