Who: Aya, Calum, Josiah, Ray, whoever else who managed to get to the coliseum
What: In which curiosity may or may not kill the cat - fighting undead pirates shouldn't be a legal hobby.
Where: Olympus Coliseum
When: Late afternoon
[[ooc: the transportation problem will be figured out later]]
Josiah was having one of those days.
He knew, technically, that this was a very bad idea. Other than the moments that Calum would choose to actually talk to him, he knew next to nothing about the pirate. Well, other than what answers he got from Lilith, and those didn't exactly make him comfortable. Forget about the fact that he hadn't seen in her months, after that incident in Radiant Garden.
Add to that the mysterious illness that was going around, and affecting everyone he had befriended within the past year. He wanted to help, but between the days that he couldn't remember a thing thanks to a certain ghost and the days that he was too exhausted to do anything other than sleep, he had never gotten around to doing it.
Research, he remembered with a grimace, was not his forte in college.
So now he was waiting in the coliseum, staring up at that impossibly blue sky that was slowly darkening with the night and trying to tune out Phil. What a interesting way to end the day.

Date: 2009-06-03 02:08 am (UTC)Even as Aya started in on her attack, he didn't call up any weapons or any magic. He only waited until the last possible second before moving towards the attack, twisting at the last minute to allow the blade and Aya to go past him, and then using the momentum to jump to the side in case of a quick backswing. His only facial reaction was a curious frown.

Aya's own expression betrayed nothing, locked into an impassive mask of concentration. For now.

The blade flew by, missing him by millimeters only. Still, he didn't use magic or weapons. It was like he was toying with her.

She folded her arms and gave Calum a look. "I thought we were gonna fight. I don't recall signing up for dance lessons."

As he said this, the slightly warm air in the coliseum began to cool down rapidly, enough to make even the hardiest of people shiver. Within heartbeats, the ground beneath them began to glow slightly within a fifteen foot radius, and the sharp smell of ozone filled the air.
The smile was gone now - he wasn't toying with her anymore. He made a quick gesture with his hands, murmuring something low and foreign beneath his breath...
...and then the ground exploded with lightning, forming a cage around them.
