Waves of adrenaline rushed though his veins as he gained the advantage. Triumph was foremost on his mind. He would win. It was inevitable. The boy, and his Light, would fail.
He felt the electricity in the air a moment before it struck, and so was halfway through constructing a Dark Barrier. It shattered under the attack, but the damage was still reduced enough that Jagannatha had hardly any problems rising from the one knee he'd fallen to. His limbs jerked erratically for a moment, grimace set tightly on his face, before he leapt forward once more, refusing to relent.
Victory was his. It was time for Light to hand up its crown for a few eons! He'd been doing so well. He would not lose it all now!
