is this what we deserve, can we break free

Who: Everyone
What: The Darkness has taken the Denizens of Light. How will they retaliate, having reached their destination?
Where: Alexandria
When: Sunday, June 12

Koios stood silently looking out of the window of Jagannatha's former quarters. He watched as their enemies rose from the Darkness that had pulled them in, stealing them away from their safe havens and bringing them here, where perhaps all of their worst fears would come true.

Alexandria's sky had turned black. The only things illuminating the false world anymore were a scant few lamps and candles... and the Hearts of the Allies of Light themselves. One had appeared with a fortress of Light, destroying many of the homes around them as Darkness threw her out of its arms. He watched, morbidly fascinated, as one by one, they rose into their cage.

Chernabog glowered down at them from above. He was a fine choice for the role of sentinel, boasting nearly as much power as the First Darkness himself. Koios, as well as the Heartless and Nobodies swarming about below, were nothing short of a safety measure - not that Jagannatha found it particularly necessary. In truth, it was more of a courtesy for the Nobody, a chance to properly boast to the losers, should he wish to take it. But for now, he remained where he was, observing the scene unfold impassively.

If Koios knew anything about the Key Bearers and Refugees, they wouldn't give up simply because they'd been trapped here, in Darkness, with no way discernible way out. No. That would only empower them. But the question remained: what would be their next step?

In any case, he thought, it would definitely prove to be a good show.

OOC: If you were not on the list of exceptions, you are now in Alexandria. Anyone who has any way of sensing the Hearts of others will know that any people native to this world have no Hearts, just as the world itself is lacking one. And yet, not a one of them is a Nobody.

All methods of transportation will fail.

A little later after her chat/maybe-fight with Koios...

(OOC: Koios mun might not be around for some time so to avoid being PARIS CURSED there is a small timeskip ahead of a day or two here.)

Aya stumbled forward like a zombie, glassy, blood-shot eyes glaring around her, daring Denizen of Light and Heartless native to cross her. Anything for an excuse to flip out and attack someone. Unusually, Aya had been rather well behaved thus far: she hadn't actually picked a fight with anyone. Yet.

"Let go of me, demon." She muttered to herself, uncaring if those around her heard. Too many others already called her crazy, she didn't mind adding to that group. It at least kept the enemies she had pulled in her with her far enough away.

Rounding a corner, she stumbled into an open square, crammed with other Denizens of Light from all worlds, huddling together, coping with their imprisonment. Spirits broken, most had withdrawn into themselves and hardly paid yet another person any attention. Aya's nose curled distastefully at the scene, drawing her gaze across the crowd until something caught her eye, something big.

The castle of Alexandria. The massive, beautiful structure she'd seen before so long ago in an FMV. But there was something else, another reason it was so familiar.

remember

Visions swarmed her mind and her eyes widened. "THAT...!" she shouted, pointing at the magnificent castle, "It's there! It's THERE! I SAW IT! THAT'S THE WAY!"

A nearby mother and child looked up at her, terrified and curious of her ravings.

"The Light." Aya whispered hoarsely, "I need to find them. I have to tell the others!" Without another moment's hesitation, she turned on her heel and ran.

If Roxas showed up, it was a fight and since he is in that thread now <.<

Roxas was headed toward the castle anyway, knowing that Kairi and the King had mentioned that the Princess could sense the light and they had then headed off toward the castle. He could hope that they hadn't done the crazy thing and tried to go after the door alone.

He bumped into Aya as she was turning to run off... literally.

"Whoa! What's the rush?"

Nearly running Roxas over, she thumped against the former-Nobody and took a step backwards. "Hey watch it-" she said crankily, looking up and taking note of the obstacle in her way. Her crankiness did not fade.

"Oh, Roxas." She huffed out a breath, "Good. I got good news..." She swept around him, huddling close so she could whisper to him, minimizing the chances of being overheard by meddlers out to keep them caged. "Figured out where the Light is-thankfully, it's in here with us. It's in Alexandria's Castle. I recognized it from the vision."

Straightening, she spread her hands out to the side, "So clearly we gotta go in and bust it out so we can break out of this place."

"Nice to see you too... Wait... Here? The Door to Light is here?" He looked up at the castle in surprise. Well, that was one thing solved and well in line with what the Princesses and the King had said.

But invading a castle was a big task. There were both Heartless and Nobodies around and they had no idea what else might be around.

"I'll agree to that, but that's a big job. Chances are that it's pretty well guarded. We're gonna need all the help we can get."

"Sure is. I am a hundred percent certain of this." Aya nodded, pulling away from Roxas. Her mood even seems to improve a little when he agrees that getting in the castle is clearly the best course of action.

"So we better start rounding people up. This square looks like a good meeting place." She said, motioning to their surroundings with her fingers, "If they put EVERYONE here then I'm guessin' we'll have lots of help."

I'm considering starting a separate log for the castle invasion. What do you think?

"Okay." He's not sure what to think of this development. Kairi and the King had said it was close. Figures it'd be in the castle.

Ah yes. People. They kind of needed them.

"Sounds about right. So, let's go find some volunteers and meet back here."

((OoC: A separate log might get a little more attention. Or not, it seems like all our players disappeared too...))

Disappearing players, you say... derp. ^^;

Okay, so Ren didn't find Aya until after the chaos surrounding her had simmered down for the time being. But she found her, that was the important part. And since Aya seemed to have an actual plan toward getting out of here and not just track down the others, Ren was more than happy to go with it.

"Just say the word, and I'll do whatever you need me to," she volunteered.

"Did I hear someone plotting to storm the castle?" Aria asked coming from behind a wall.

Apparently she'd been lurking around nearby... or just dozing off while leaning on the wall. Either way she was there.

"Y'know, that was my first thought when I got here. Weird, huh?"

"We sure are." Aya said brightly, looking over the three others that had now joined up. She frowned a little, "Except we're gonna need more than this. We're gonna need every fightin' denizen of light charging in there with us, especially if we wanna get past that."

She pointed up at Chernobog in the distance.

"Since I think everyone's in here..." she held onto that thought for a second. Did that mean the nine billion people of Earth were here? And the comparable Mirror Earth population too? This place couldn't possibly sustain that many displaced people, billions would die here. Her voice suddenly grew a bit more serious, "Then we've got every hero out there roaming around. We need to gather 'em up as best as we can and get them over here. If all of them attack at once, then at least some of us are gonna get by into the castle."

Aya grabbed the goggles hanging around her neck and pulled them up onto her eyes. "Time to round up some friends. I'll be back." And on that, she ran off to at least track down her crew and then some.
