Who: Koios and Jagannatha
What: Jagannatha feels a disturbance in the force
Where: Jagannatha's room
When: Saturday, May 21st
Something had changed.
Granted, he had expected the Darkness weighing on his senses to grow heavier as he dragged those worlds back into being, cleansed of Light. But something was different. Something else was nagging him this morning - something that had nothing to do with those worlds.
It took him all day to pinpoint it. Small wonder it had taken so long - the disturbance was but one young man who had only truly come into Darkness a little while ago. He was the one that had gotten hopelessly lost in Darkness... only to be saved by succumbing to it. At the time, Jagannatha had been disappointed to see that the boy had regained his Light, instead of continuing on the rest of the way, like a good little denizen of Light.
But he had fallen again.
And now was Jagannatha's chance.
The doors slammed open with a sudden crash, breaking the meditative silence he'd been using to track the boy. He cracked a golden eye open to glare at Koios as he neared. The Nobody froze.
The eye slipped shut again with a frustrated sigh. "Koios."
"You wanted something?"
"There is a boy," Jagannatha began softly, "a friend of those children you like. Those 'Refugees.'" Koios made an impatient go-on gesture as he paused. "He has allowed his Darkness to take control, and it is now running rampant. He is not a Heartless--" he resisted the urge to add a confident yet "--but he is far from their ally at the moment." A beat. "Bring him to me."
Koios laughed, stopping a moment later when he realized that this wasn't a joke. "Wait, seriously? You want me to bring that crazy fuck here? And just how do you expect me to do that?"
"You're resourceful."
This time, Jagannatha received a scornful look. "That kid can portal just as well as I can. He could get away easily in the Corridors, regardless of whatever measures I take to prevent it."
"You are a Nobody, Koios, and more powerful than he. Bring him here. I don't care how. And don't return unless he is with you, fallen or otherwise."
Even with his eyes closed, Jagannatha could feel the echoes of anger from the Nobody's glare veritably vibrate past him. There were quiet squeaks as he turned to leave. "Fine. I'll bring him. I hate you sometimes, you know."
He smiled. "I know."
