That was too much to handle.

Falling was one thing when she knew which way was down. In a dream, that would be the point when she gave herself wings. It was something completely different, however, when the dreamscape was directionally confused.
The problem with falling towards the ground - whether it was up or down - was that you were only falling for a short time. Song didn't trust herself to solve the problem within that time, so she made use of the safety mechanism inherent in every dream created by her spell and not altered by foreign magic.

Or, to be blunt, she freaked out and woke herself up.
