Koios didn't miss the hesitation. He wasn't sure what had caused it, exactly, and the girl had been quick enough to recover from it, but it hadn't escaped his notice. He kept his curiosity about it in check, though, and merely smiled down at three of them.

"Great," he said genially. "I was starting to think you guys weren't coming. Come on in; I'll take you to him." He stepped out of the way to let them enter.

It was about damn time.
