Roxas thought bull headed stubbornness might be more accurate a description than determination, but kept his mouth shut on the matter. His captor's impatience on the matter of getting a Heart suggested to Roxas that even if someone else was willing to help him, he might not like their methods, not to mention again the issue of what he wanted versus what he'd get with a safer answer to his question.
"I didn't ask if you cared. I asked if you knew," he replied, trying to keep his tone even, "Then again, it's probably a stupid question. You wouldn't tell me if you did know how they vanished. Which is fair enough, I guess." He didn't want to suggest that the dude stop wasting his time and go do something else because he already knew what that something else was going to be.
