The room, of course, had no windows. Why would it? It's a place where all manner of shady deals occurred!
"If you didn't expect that first reaction, you clearly don't know me very well." Aya sniffed, "Of course I'd be mad. Of course I'd yell and swear and threaten to kill you. It's what I always do. People don't know or hear the quiet moments of thought afterwards, Rakath. I spent a lot of time in that desert and after reading your replies, I had a lot to think about. Needless to say, you've changed, but I see you for what you are."
A tool. Aya thought quietly to herself. She pulled something out from her back pocket-a scroll of paper, and tossed it on the table in front of Rak. "I've got a job for you." she said as she took a seat on the pillow closest to the entrance.
