Party Thread (because I'm so clever with names)
Who: Eeeeverybody!
What: Party time has finally arrived! Time for everyone to relax a little after all the recent craziness.
Where: Tifa's Bar
When: Friday, Aug. 7
Notes: Open log, thread however. Try not to break the bar.
Everything was ready to go. Seventh Heaven was sparkling clean for the occasion, tables and chairs spaced out nicely across the room. A table against the wall was loaded with a wide variety of food and drinks, both homemade and storebought, and another table held a stack of games in case anyone was in the mood. It was a pretty simple set-up, but everyone who had helped seemed to think that it was just right.
Jenn was nervous, and excited. Finally, she was going to meet all of the people she'd been talking to on the network this past month! She'd been eagerly waiting for this party ever since they'd started set-up (and the chocolate-chip cookies over on the snack table were Jenn Specialty). Now they just needed to arrive. Being the self-designated greeter, Jenn took up a position by the door and waited to point people to the snacks. She made a valiant effort not to look like an overexited geek.
LOL! No worries, Rox, you are still awesome. =Dd
Silandro smiled at the human girl, speaking casually in the hopes of putting her more at ease. "A pleasure to meet you, Miss Rox. I take it you know Jenn, then?"
The Narnian mouse gave the table its proper attention, letting his nose help him pick out what would be best to eat. Whiskers twitching, Silandro served himself a slice of the regular cheesecake and added several cookies, some of the strange breading pouches with red stuffing, and some pudding. Then, quite gracefully, he leapt onto a chair of a nearby table and set his plate down. It wouldn't do to dine while standing on the serving table, after all.
The mouse tried a bite of the cheesecake, and...goodness! That was delicious! Not one to withhold worthy praise, the mouse smiled nobly over at Rox again. "My, but this cheesecake of yours is magnificent, Miss Rox. Truly a culinary masterpiece. Did you make these yourself?" He might have to try a slice of the other flavors if they were as good as this!
*steals your mouse*
When Silandro said he liked the cake, Rox was thrilled, and she smiled even more. "Really? Thank you! It's the first time I've made cheesecake from scratch, you see, so I'm really glad it turned out well!"
|D *steals him back*
"Oh? Well, she is right over there," Silandro offered with a smile, using his tail to point in the general direction of where Jenn was sitting. "If you felt the desire to meet her in person, I know that she is eager to aquaint herself with those known as the 'Refugees'." His tone was light and conversational, but still very polite. After all, a Narnian swordsmouse did not resort to rude behavior in front of a lady.
The mouse polished off the last of the slice, whiskers twitching in customary Narnian mouse show of appreciation. His smile turned a mite admiring at her admission. "Your first time? Surely you have a talent for baking, then. I admit I am not as familiar with some of these other human dishes, however..." he admitted almost gravely, looking down at his plate. "For instance, what is this? It smells delicious, yet unlike anything I have ever smelled before." The mouse picked up one of the pouch-like bread snacks stuffed with red filling and held it up for her to see better.
