Party Thread (because I'm so clever with names)

Who: Eeeeverybody!
What: Party time has finally arrived! Time for everyone to relax a little after all the recent craziness.
Where: Tifa's Bar
When: Friday, Aug. 7
Notes: Open log, thread however. Try not to break the bar.

Everything was ready to go. Seventh Heaven was sparkling clean for the occasion, tables and chairs spaced out nicely across the room. A table against the wall was loaded with a wide variety of food and drinks, both homemade and storebought, and another table held a stack of games in case anyone was in the mood. It was a pretty simple set-up, but everyone who had helped seemed to think that it was just right.

Jenn was nervous, and excited. Finally, she was going to meet all of the people she'd been talking to on the network this past month! She'd been eagerly waiting for this party ever since they'd started set-up (and the chocolate-chip cookies over on the snack table were Jenn Specialty). Now they just needed to arrive. Being the self-designated greeter, Jenn took up a position by the door and waited to point people to the snacks. She made a valiant effort not to look like an overexited geek.

Honestly, Rox hadn't been sure what to do when Silandro asked for help...she didn't exactly understand talking mice etiquette, and honestly? She hadn't even considered the idea of just setting food down - honestly, it wasn't fair if he couldn't see it, right?

His reaction, however, made her pretty sure that she had done something wrong - he didn't seem mad, but still. She felt awkward enough around new people, and hated making mistakes. For now it would be her nerves talking - silly as it was, it was a habit she had been thus far unable to break.

She easily lifted the mouse to the table, moving a few dishes to make sure he would have some room to move, though he seemed to know how to be careful.

"Oh, I was right!" she said, smiling. "M-my name is Rox."

*steals your mouse*

"Ye-well, not exactly." Rox replied, trying to make herself relax again. She followed Silandro, sitting down in a chair across from him. The mouse seemed really friendly, and extremely polite. "I've talked to her a little though the Refugee's network, but we haven't met in person."

When Silandro said he liked the cake, Rox was thrilled, and she smiled even more. "Really? Thank you! It's the first time I've made cheesecake from scratch, you see, so I'm really glad it turned out well!"
