Fox made a face best described with the text emoticon 8D as she checked her quiver. She'd been experimenting with ways of making arrows more effective against larger monsters and had found a way to make exploding arrows that weren't so heavy it shortened their range. The Moogles had been helpful in this and had even helped with a specially designed quiver to keep the different types of arrows separate. The quiver could also hold a lot more than it looked like it could, but whether they'd figured it out on their own or gotten the spell from Ryan, the Moogles wouldn't say. That was off topic anyway.
"These might not do a lot of damage to it, but they will get its attention. I have Curaga, we do have a buttload of potions and the nearest town... isn't really that close. Giruvagen is a ruin so the nearest place to get help is the Vierra village in Golmore Jungle. We could probably get there relatively quickly with the Chocobos... if they don't run away on us while we're fighting."
She paused and eyed the things Ray was pulling out of her pockets.
"Hmm... The grenades and smoke bombs would probably be the most useful. We really don't need to kill this bastard, just keep him busy for a little while and not get dead in the process. Either way, I'm ready when everyone else is."
